I have always been interested in mathematics, physics and computer science. At the second basic school listed above I was attending a class with extended education of Mathematics. So did I at the secondary school. In 1994 I got a scholarschip from The Foundation for a Civil Society to study in the United Kingdom. After one year there I sat for British A-level exams in Mathematics, Physics, and Electronics. When I returned home, I sat for Slovak school leaving exams in Slovak language and literature, English, and IT skills and programming. In 1995 I began to study Computer science at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Comenius University. I was accepted to Keble College, University of Oxford, Oxford, UK for entry in 1996 but I was unable to find sufficient financial sources to cover the costs. In July 2000 I graduated at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Comenius University with honours and was awarded a master degree (Mgr.). Currently I am a PhD student at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, Comenius University.
I am still working part time as a systems and network administrator and security manager for the Department of Computer Science of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovakia. I have a very good experience in administrating UNIX (Solaris, Linux, Ultrix, HP-UX, AIX), Novell Netware, Windows NT, (and DOS/Windows 3.1x and Windows 9x that cannot be considered an operating system :-)).
I am a member of the professional group who prepared one of the proposals of Slovak Electronic Signature Law.
I take part on some projects related to PKI as a PKI and IT security specialist.
